Check Out the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail

It is a part of a 70-mile trail system that spans four counties in Pennsylvania.
The Lackawanna River Heritage Trail is a rail trail that merges into the D&H Rail Trail just north of Carbondale. This family-friendly path isn’t just a great place to walk, but it’s also a great spot to ride your bike. If you’re interested, there’s a Group Ride on the Trail that leaves every Wednesday at 6:00 pm from Scranton at the 7th Avenue Trailhead and lasts for about an hour. This is a great opportunity to meet other people with similar interests and get some exercise!
