4 Christmas Tree Farms to Visit This Holiday Season
Lakeland Orchard & Cidery
This seasonal attraction is less than six miles from Carbondale. Bundle up and create lasting holiday memories cutting your own Christmas Tree. Walk the fields to choose among Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, Blue Spruce, Canaan Fir and Concolor Fir. Trees range in height from six to 10 feet. Wagons, tree carts and saws are provided. Before you leave, have the trunk drilled for your tree stand and wrapped for easy transport. Lakeland Orchard and Cidery opens for the Christmas season on November 24.
Roba Family Farms
For decades, Roba Family Farms has welcomed visitors to choose fresh Christmas trees and wreaths. This family-owned business sells fresh cut trees at its North Abington Township location starting on November 24. You also won’t want to miss out on the freshly made cider doughnuts. They’re irresistible.
Beezup Christmas Tree Farm
Beezup Christmas Tree Farm is a short 30-minute drive from Carbondale in Clarks Summit. During the holiday season, the farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Trees are priced anywhere from $6 to $9 per foot depending on the type of tree. Bundle up and head out on an adventure. Trees can be expertly trimmed if needed. Fraser Fir wreaths, tree bags and bundles of green are also available for sale.
Spring Hills Farm
At Spring Hills Farm in North Abington Township, you can cut down your own tree or let them do the work for you and select a pre-cut tree. At around a 30-minute drive, the farm is close enough for a day trip while you’re visiting Carbondale. The tree selection includes Blue and White Spruce, Fraser and Douglas Fir, and Scotch, Red, and White Pines. Spring Hill Farms is open Thanksgiving to Christmas from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. p.m. Visit the store for farm-made blueberry spread, maple syrup, Jacob Sheep Yarn, fresh cut wreaths and greens.
